The historic town of Diriyah will be transformed into a global tourism destination through the 7 km² mixed-use development project. Zutari was appointed to provide project management and cost consultancy services.
Phase 2 of the project is located to the east of the Diriyah Gate Master plan development. Zutari provided seasoned experts for the concept, detailed master planning, and engineering. Zutari’s provided Technical Leads for all the required disciplines during CMP and DMP and detailed input into procurement to enable the project to be constructed.
This project is centered around the historic centre of Diriyah and the At-Turaif UNESCO World Heritage Site, an iconic mud-brick city with roots that date back to the 15th century. The new development will include hotels, dining establishments and luxury stores. The heritage area will be preserved, will include a museum, and will be a tourist attraction to celebrate the history and culture of Saudi Arabia.
The Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) project is also part of Vision 2030, to increase visitors across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by the year 2030.
