Zutari to play a key role in revival of local automotive industry in Tshwane

Zutari is supporting the fast-tracked roll-out of the Tshwane Automotive Special Economic Zone (TASEZ), located near the existing Ford facility in Silverton.

Zutari was appointed in March 2020 by the Coega Development Corporation (CDC) to provide design and supervision of the enabling infrastructure for the first phases of the project, among other things. This includes internal civil engineering services and associated bulk infrastructure upgrades.

The total construction value of this initiative is approximately R2.8 billion, making it the biggest development currently underway in Tshwane, and a much-needed injection of foreign direct investment. As such, Zutari is excited to support this initiative, which is anticipated to facilitate exports of locally produced products, attract investment, develop industrial infrastructure and, ultimately, create much-needed jobs.

At Zutari, we believe in co-creating an engineered impact enable environments, communities and economies to thrive.

Our Tshwane and Cape Town offices hosted over 80 Grade 11 and 12 learners with an interest in engineering sciences. The programme fuelled their excitement and curiosity about how Zutari works. It further gave them a front-row seat into a day in the life of engineers entails.
