In 2018, Zutari was engaged by the City of Cape Town to develop a virtual reality (VR) experience for use at a conference, which would allow delegates to explore ideas on how the city needs to adapt to meet the challenges it will face over the next 30 years.

The challenges that were discussed corresponded to Zutari’s markets, namely energy, transport, water, and the built environment. Each unit was tasked with imagining possible solutions to known challenges in their field of expertise.

The result was a table-top size model of the Cape Town City Bowl and an interactive and informative VR experience. This solution got key stakeholders discussing the problems the city faces and the possible solutions to those challenges with Zutari and each other.

By bringing storytelling and creative technology together, we create immersive and interactive experiences that better communicate the vision of major infrastructure and built environment projects.
