Lusail Stadium
Qatar's world-class stadium embodies its ambitions and passions.
This signature World Cup stadium in Qatar is being designed and engineered by Zutari, the lead engineering consultant. The Lusail Stadium, located 15 kilometers north of Doha, will host the opening ceremony, group games, and World Cup final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup™.
Designed by Foster + Partners, the project stems from Qatar’s National Vision 2030. The stadium is inspired both by Arab architecture and literal symbolism by celebrating the region’s ancient tradition of craftsmanship. The design incorporates ‘fanar’ lanterns and intricately detailed bowls that have been used in the region for centuries.
Zutari provided all design engineering services for this signature World Cup Stadium in Qatar (including geotechnical, infrastructure, structures, MEP, and facades) to the main contractor HBK Contracting-China Railway Construction Corporation Limited Joint Venture (HBK-CRCC JV).
This stadium, which has an 80,000 capacity, will serve as a vital part of Qatar’s future and a legacy for the nation to embrace; while shining as a sports hub and lighting up Lusail City’s skyline.
